Our mission: Creativity, unbridled

Imagine a world where your creative process moves freely. Openly. Collaboratively. Where your production pipeline offers solutions - not roadblocks. Where creative energy isn’t slowed down by red tape, bottlenecks, or busywork. That’s the reality we’re building with Autodesk Flow.

Autodesk is on a mission to move the industry forward - removing barriers to creativity, one step at a time.

The mission is simple. The journey is an adventure.

Creativity requires freedom. Whether you’re a director, artist, editor or producer — bringing your dreams to life means eliminating the barriers that stand in your way. Autodesk Flow, the industry cloud for media and entertainment, built on Autodesk’s Design and Make Platform, lays the foundation for that freedom. Today is just the beginning.

STEP 1

Get excited

Autodesk Flow is a new way of working that will move the entire industry forward, and we want to bring as many people as we can on the journey with us. It’s happening, right now.

STEP 3

Unlock insights

Every production is a learning experience. Autodesk Flow makes those learnings smarter, leveraging data to provide you with fresh insights, so each new experience, whether it’s a current or future project, will run smoother than the last.

STEP 4

Free the data

Built on a common data environment to streamline sharing of asset data from one application to another, both Autodesk and 3rd party, Flow takes a first-of-its-kind approach to putting the right asset data, in the right hands, right on time.

Editorial cuts meet creative tools

Flow unlocks new creative capabilities, like Flow Animating in Context, that help teams make creative decisions faster and stay focused on their craft.

Flow Animating in Context integrates Flow Production Tracking with Maya, bringing editorial cuts directly into the artist's workspace. Artists can view surrounding shots, scrub through scenes, and switch between pipeline steps - like layout, animation, and FX - at both the cut and shot level to stay aligned and improve continuity.

Less waiting, more creating

Flow Retopology helps modelers stay focused on creative work by offloading retopology jobs to the cloud. Artists can continue working in Maya or 3ds Max while mesh operations are processed remotely, freeing up local resources and reducing downtime.

The tool functions just like 3ds Max and Maya's Retopology tools - simplifying complex geometry to make it easier to work with, while enabling simultaneous workflows. Whether refining high-resolution meshes or preparing assets for animation, Flow Retopology streamlines the process so artists can deliver professional results faster.

Open by design, custom by nature

We know your pipelines are complex and you rely on a variety of third-party and custom solutions to bring your productions to life.  That’s why - at its core - Flow is open and extensible, allowing you to build on top of your favorite tools in fast and flexible ways. With the Flow Graph Engine API, you'll be able to develop your own capabilities to fit your studio's unique needs and workflows.

Creative control at cloud scale

Flow Wedging in Bifrost for Maya gives FX artists the freedom to iterate faster by offloading compute-heavy simulations to the cloud. Artists can test multiple variations of a simulation - each with different parameters - at the same time, without tying up their local machines. This means less waiting, more exploring, and faster creative decisions.
