What do I need to do to become an Autodesk Expert Elite member?

  • Be an active member: You must first be an active member of the Autodesk Community and have an updated profile reflecting the products you know well.
  • Contribute: Begin actively answering questions and helping other users in help communities. An Autodesk Community Manager observes your contributions over time to help understand and quantify these contributions in both Autodesk and non-Autodesk communities.
  • Show consistency: Providing high-quality answers and exceptional content across all community areas can lead to recognition and serve as a stepping stone to becoming a top contributor.
  • Become a top contributor: With continued high-level engagement, accuracy, and helpfulness, you can apply to become a member. This requires significant commitment and is reviewed and granted annually.

Apply to become an Autodesk Expert Elite member by completing the Application Form. You’ll need to include information about how you’ve been contributing to the community (Autodesk Community, user groups, online sites, and social channels). Applications must be submitted directly by the applicant and include all required information.

Applicants are selected after a detailed review of contributions, including helping other customers by sharing product knowledge and passion for Autodesk, and engaging in communities using positive, collaborative communication styles.

Autodesk employees, contractors, consultants, and interns are not eligible to participate in the Autodesk Expert Elite program.

What are the expectations of an Autodesk Expert Elite member?

Autodesk Expert Elite members are customers who voluntarily share their knowledge with other customers and are expected to regularly participate in communities such as Autodesk forums, user groups, Autodesk University events, and social channels (e.g., YouTube, blogs, X), while maintaining a professional, supportive, and collaborative style.

We look for individuals who regularly contribute to Autodesk Community, user groups, online sites, and social channels. While there is no minimum time requirement for participation, there are membership activities required of Expert Elite members. These may include, but are not limited to, digital member meetings and surveys, maintaining member and Autodesk Community profiles, requests for content contribution or amplification, and regular communication with Autodesk.

Autodesk Expert Elite members are subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Autodesk Legal Notices & Trademarks, Autodesk Community Rules & Etiquette, and the Autodesk Expert Elite program.

What does the approvals, denials, and renewals process look like?

The application is open once annually - please check [this page] for application availability. Submitted applications are reviewed for foundational characteristics; qualified applicants are evaluated and notified, regardless of status. 

 
If you are not accepted into the program, you're welcome to reapply in the next application window. We recommend that you provide very detailed information about, and examples of, your contributions.

 
Existing Autodesk Expert Elite members are renewed annually based on contributions, and members must remain in good standing during the previous 12 months.
